Don't Love 'Em

Bachelorette #1 is now my "really good friend". I am cool with her, but I am not cool with how things went to get to where we are now. In a phone call, I told her how I felt about her, and suggested that we move from "hanging" to dating. She was moved, and excited, and agreed readily, saying she'd had the same thoughts. We talked for a bit longer, and then I had to go. Afterwards, I could not get in contact with her. after about 10 days, she called and said she did not want to date after all. It took three conversations, but we cleared up what there was to get cleared up.

Bachelorette #2 is completely out of communication. She wrote me a very nice email a week ago, but has not surfaced beyond that.
There were two teen girls that I spoke with for the Forum for Teens, that in talking to me said they were very interested and wanted to do the course, but one never got in contact about it and the other promised to come to an intro, and then, after hanging up told her mother she was not going.
What I see is a continuing pattern where women straight up lie to me. Is there any other way to see this?
Maybe Snoop was right when he told me, "Whatever you do, dog... Just don't love 'em".

Perhelion

Today was the perhelion of Mars. In other words, Mars is the closest to Earth it has been in about 5000 years, and if you do not have overcast skies like I had this morning, it is supposed to be a spectacular sight to see. I have a vested interest in Mars because I am an Aries, ruled by Mars. It's funny, because I am also closer to reality than I have been for a long time. A lot of things are coming into focus, and I am able to see clearly where I've been, where I'm at, and what there is to do, for the first time in a really long time. I'll get to that later, after the news!

Glenn's wedding was awesome. I got there really late, due to improper planning, almost running out of gas due to a severe lack of funds, and getting lost while trying to take a shortcut. Only Black person there, only one late - Hi, that would be me, stereotype man! Glenn was really happy to see me, as was his wife, which I thought was a little strange. We only met briefly, and when we met, I was not exactly right with the world. She was the makeup artist on "Lovestruck", the movie project that Glenn and I dreamed up together. This is the project that I ended up walking away from for because I was being a complete chicken-shit. All of that to say she met me at my most ugly, and she welcomed me to her most special day like a long lost friend. She and he looked fabulous. They took these pictures together the day before the wedding, and the shots were really romantic. Two words: Chocolate Fountain. That's right ladies, a fountain of melted chocolate with all sorts of food items (cake, marshmallows, fruit, etc.) on skewers that you can place into the flowing chocolate. It was a big hit. Apparently, I missed an amazing ceremony where they wrote their own vows, and did some other cool stuff. There was just an amazing vibe of love going on, and I was very glad to have been there.

Kirk's wedding just happened this past weekend, and I was juggling it and Landmark coaching duties. That would have taken me out of the game somewhere back in my past, but I was able to manage both events effectively... sort of. Thursday was the rehearsal, and I had money issues to deal with that kept me in San Diego much longer than I planned. When I got on the road, I immediately caught the evening traffic, and there was no way I was going to be on time. I called the best man and let him know what was going on, and putted along. I should have been an hour and a half late, but I got there much quicker, and was in time to actually participate in the rehearsal and learn what I needed to know for the big day on Saturday. The wedding was a great success, we all looked great in what looked like cheesy rental tuxes when they were on the hangers. I saw a lot of people I had not seen in ten years or so, and had a great time. Once again the Love Vibe permeated the place.

Make my Funk the "P" Funk!

So, when I left off, I was teasing a bunch of things that were/are/hapening/not happening in my life. If you got through that sentence unscathed, I owe you a Lifesaver. So here is what is going on.
I'M BROKE AS HELL, AND I"M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF BEING ALONE!
I'M A FILMMAKER WHO DOES NOT MAKE FILMS!
I'M FAT AND LAZY!!
You get the drift... Anyways, I'll be writing more later on tonight about Glenn's wedding, My singing debut, and a lot of crazy stuff I was making up about women in general, and two in particular. That would be Bachelorettes 1&2. I'll even throw in a bit about the player to be blamed later! Chew slowly, I'll be back!
