I remember having a blog that I am supposed to be writing in each day! Well, New Year, New Deal! So much has happened that it will take a week to get it all out. First of all, The aforementioned partner and I decided to create a new event. Basically, it's an introduction to the Landmark Forum for the Black community in San Diego. Both of us are Black and living in San Diego, there fore we thought it would be a good idea to impact the number of "us" in the Landmark education. Generally, it usually just me and the one I will call T. Cozy (from a nickname Subverve gave him!) around the L.E. center here, and I for one was starting to feel like some sort of "special negro". Both T.Cozy and I agree that in our experience, there is no Black community in San Diego, just a lot of individuals doing their own things. We feel that what is missing is available through the distinctions provided by Landmark.
Now, back to intro part deux. We cried in our beer for about forty seconds over being complete losers, and then re-created our commitment to build community in SD. So our intro is scheduled for Saturday at 2pm. We have at present, 3 guests confirmed, and many more that I will confirm today. I am now ready to lead introductions,(more about that later! I promise!) so if we have less than 5 people, I will lead the introduction myself. I am confident that we will have 20 people at the introduction, so I am also planning to lead the following Monday. There is a lot on my plate, but I am chewing like a mofo.
A special friend, really a sister, is going under the knife today for hip surgery. Trina is 36, and it is possible that the problem is cancer. I am praying for her, and ask you to do the same. THANK YOU!
